City Barbeque presents BBQ 101 and Local Beer Tasting Event

This will be a fun filled night where folks can learn from City Barbeque’s founder and national award winning competition barbeque pit boss, Rick Malir. Topics will include judging barbeque, backyard competition smoker tips, and time for some Q&A with seasoned barbeque experts. The highlight being the opportunity to sample and judge some “out of this world” beef brisket, ribs, burnt ends, pork shoulder, and Oh – did we mention sampling some great local beers? You will get 6 beer samples per ticket.
Looking to purchase a smoker of your own? We will have Housewarming of Lexington on site to answer all your questions and provide a Green Egg demonstration.
All ticket proceeds will go to Fayette County 4-H!

Bourbon, Barbecue, and Music

Spend this 4th of July with three American favorites – bourbon, barbeque and country music – at the Jim Beam® American Stillhouse! For this first event in the distillery’s Summer Concert Series, bourbon fans from all over are invited to celebrate our country’s independence with mouth-watering barbeque from Fred’s Smokehouse, live music on the distillery lawn and an inside look at how the world’s No. 1 selling bourbon whiskey is made. (Samples of “America’s Native Spirit” will be poured for guests of legal drinking age.) The festivities kick off at noon, and country singer Rob Key will be performing throughout the day. Special raffle drawings will take place every half hour, awarding guests the chance to win free distillery tours and branded Jim Beam® apparel. Guided distillery tours depart at noon, then every half hour from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
