Beaumont Branch of Lexington Public Library, 3080 Fieldstone Way, Lexington, KY
Come join us for an introduction to geocaching, a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Topics for the event include an overview of GPS technology and geocaching, how to find and hunt a geocache, how to use the geocaching.com website and how to use a smartphone to geocache.
