R. J. Corman 5K Run/Walk to benefit Chrysalis House

R. J. Corman Railroad GroupOnline registration will be available until midnight, Thursday, May 16 ($20). Packet pickup will be Wednesday, May 15th (11am-2pm & 4pm-6pm) and Thursday, May 16th (12pm-4pm) at the Chrysalis Community Center, located at 1589 Hill Rise Drive, Lexington, KY.
Race day registration($25) will be open at 7:30 a.m.at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, 101 R. J. Corman Drive, Nicholasville, KY; the events will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Jessamine County Christmas Store

Nicholasville United Methodist ChurchThe Jessamine County Christmas Store will be helping 200 middle and high school young people this year. The Christmas Store will be a place where families can come and shop (free of charge) for gifts with dignity and love. The Christmas Store will be held at The Nicholasville United Methodist Church (located at 303 West Maple Street) on Wednesday, December 19th, Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st from 5:30pm to 9:30pm. We are looking for volunteers to join with us and are accepting donations. Donations are being accepted in Jessamine County at Community Action, Central Bank (both locations), Wilmore Laundromat, Re/Max Elite, State Farm, East Middle School, and The Providence School. Our drop off location in Fayette County is at Re/Max Creative on Pasadena Drive. All donations are tax-deductible. Suggested items are lotions, soaps, socks, nerf guns, sports equipment, board games, stuffed animals, books, cds, dvds, make-up, jewelry, hoodies, etc. You can be apart of this wonderful event this year and it takes everyone’s heart, hands, and donations to make it happen.

East Jessamine High School Partners With Dodge
East Jessamine High School - 815 Sulphur Well Road, Nicholasville, KY, 40356Representatives from Dodge brand and Chrysler on Nicholasville will join East Jessamine High School for the Dodge Booster Club Fundraiser at 815 Sulphur Well Road, Nicholasville, KY, on Friday, August 3. Dodge will make a $20 donation to the East Jessamine High School Marching Band for each person who takes a short test drive at the event. Come check out and take a spin in the latest Dodge Brand vehicles from Chrysler on Nicholasville. Any licensed driver, age 18 or older with a valid driver’s license, may drive and earn a $20 donation. Test drives will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the school’s Marching Show and Football Scrimmage.

On November 28th, part of the proceeds from each official Dining Out for Life restaurant will benefit AVOL (AIDS Volunteers, Inc.). Just by dining out, you can make a big difference in the lives of Kentucky families living with HIV/AIDS. Plus, you can register to win some spectacular prizes. AVOL provides nearly a million dollars a year in essential services to men, women, and families infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in 72 counties in central and eastern Kentucky. These services help families keep their homes, have enough to eat, and get to medical appointments. You will have an opportunity during your meal to make an additional donation to AVOL above and beyond the contribution of the restaurant. AVOL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
