Coal River Grille's "Pizza Challenge for Charity"

LET’S RAISE SOME DOUGH!!!

What is this about? It’s about raising awareness for sexually abused children. This fundraiser benefits the Care Cottage so it can continue to provide the upmost, specialized services to our victims.

When? Saturday April 19th pick and choose when you want to attend!!!! This is an all-day event extravaganza!!!! Plus be served by your local celebrities!

1:00 – 2:30- Time for the children to have fun! We start with an “Egg Decorating Contest” ages 12-under. Then we have a “Dough Tossing Contest” 12-under. There will be prizes for each winner. ($5.00 to participate in each event, proceeds go to the Care Cottage) The Easter Bunny will be in attendance and available for pictures.
3:00 - CLOSE– The adult play begins! Join us for a corn hole toss contest and rook tournament (entry fee $20.00 per team and prizes).
6:00 - Pizza challenge starts - let the judging begin! “Pizza Chefs” will dazzle you with their talents!!!
1:00 - 9:00 - Pizza, Pasta, and Salad Buffet will be in action. Try Coal River Grille’s pizzas, as well as the contestants! DJ, Dave Green, will provide music and entertainment starting at 5:00 p.m.
Buffet is $25 per person and includes a non-alcoholic drink. Kids 10 and under are $5 per person for the buffet.

This call-in event will raise money to help keep Community Ministries' Corner Haven Crisis Center open 24/7 for adult men and women experiencing homelessness. Thinking of ways to work off Thanksgiving Dinner? The Pathfinders of Perry County Kids Club invite you to join us for the Grand Opening of the first Ranger Rick Geocache Trail in the state of Kentucky. Geocaching is a global scavenger hunt game where participants find hidden treasure using handheld GPS units or smartphones. We had a blast learning how to geocache and hiding our caches along the hiking trail above Perry County Park. We hope you have fun searching for them. The caches contain educational materials about wildlife provided by Ranger Rick and information about Pathfinders Kids Club. This is a great geocache trail to take the kids on. For a great day of hiking, meet us at the Picnic shelter closest to the playground at Perry County Park on Saturday, November 24th between 10am and 2pm. For more information call 487-3210.

Dewey Lake
Dewey Lake is seeking to fill three volunteer positions. Volunteers would be required to work 25 hours per week per campsite. Duties would include light maintenance work such as mowing, trimming, painting, sign maintenance, trash and debris removal as well as assisting the park ranger staff by managing recreational activities, and providing visitors with a quality recreational experience. In return, the volunteers will receive a free campsite which is located in a gated area designed only for volunteers. Campground amenities include; electrical, water, sewer, picnic table, fire ring, and a paved surface overlooking the lake. Sites are 40' x 12'. Required Skills:
• Volunteers are expected to provide their own camper (please provide a photo and length of your camper).
• Must be capable of performing physical work duties in an outdoor environment.

• Willingness to commit to a 90-120 day work agreement.
• Wear the provided park host uniform while performing duties.
