Aquila Theatre in "Wuthering Heights"

The Norton Center for the Arts, Danville, KY
Bringing its signature style and dynamic approach, Aquila re-imagines one of the most famous love stories ever told with this heart-wrenching new production. Set on the wild, windswept Yorkshire moors, Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights is the story of free-spirited Catherine and dark, brooding Heathcliff. As children, they are inseparable and, with time, their affection deepens into a passionate love. But Catherine lets her head rule her heart as she chooses to marry the wealthy Edgar Linton. Heathcliff flees the moors broken-hearted only to return years later as a wealthy man, but is it too late for them? Over a century and a half after it was published, Brontë’s magnum opus remains an incredibly moving and classic tale of love, passion, and revenge. Impeccable design and a unique physical style combine with a marvelous cast to make Wuthering Heights an exquisite and captivating theatrical experience.

I Love Lucy Live on Stage

The Norton Center for the Arts, Danville, KY
It’s 1952 and you are a member of the studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY® episodes. Imagine stepping back in time onto the Desilu Playhouse soundstage where a charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, the 1950s hi-fidelity technology and this brand-new thing called “television.” The episodes begin and you witness, firsthand, the side-splitting antics of that crazy redhead in the Ricardo’s New York apartment and thrill to the Cuban sounds of “The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra” at the famed Tropicana Nightclub. In-between scenes the Crystaltone Singers perform live advertising jingles of the show’s newest sponsors in perfect 50s style harmony. Can you say “Brylcreem?!”
