Land of Tomorrow Presents: Sown
A solo exhibition by Erin Eldred
On view at Land of Tomorrow, Lexington
April 12 – April 19, 2013
Closing reception at 6pm on Friday, April 19th
Land of Tomorrow is pleased to present Sown, a solo exhibition by Lexington artist Erin Eldred. Sown will be in display at our Lexington location from April 12th to the 19th with a closing reception scheduled for Friday, April 19th at 6pm.
Sown will include both 2-D and 3-D pieces, in a variety of mediums. The majority of the exhibition will be fiber-based, including small and large-scale weavings, soft sculpture, crocheted objects, and installation. Much of the imagery in this body of work is inspired by the natural world – particularly the processes of growth, metamorphosis and propagation.
Erin Eldred is currently pursuing a BFA in Art Studio at the University of Kentucky. Her work has been exhibited in the Foundations Exhibition and a Cary Ellis juried exhibition, both at the Barnhart Gallery, at the University of Kentucky and also as part of The Neighborhood Series here at Land of Tomorrow in Lexington, KY.
