Calipari not happy in Kentucky's 102-92 win over Sam Houston St.

The Wildcats were never really in danger during a 102-92 win over Sam Houston State in the Cancun Challenge on Thursday, Calipari was hardly in the mood to celebrate after his team let another opponent stick around thanks to a lackluster defensive performance that at times lacked energy, effort and intensity.

UK working towards facilities upgrades

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 18, 2009) – The University of Kentucky continues to methodically work toward the development of a plan to enhance the athletic facilities of its sports teams. The plan includes major renovations to Commonwealth Stadium, a new baseball facility and working with the Lexington Center Corporation to develop a new downtown arena.

UK Hoops recruiting class one of nation's best

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s basketball program and head coach Matthew Mitchell are not only excelling on the court this season but in recruiting as well. Mitchell and his staff signed five outstanding high school players during the fall signing period, which ended Wednesday, giving UK a Top-10 national ranking by two recruiting services. The class was ranked No. 5 by Blue Star Basketball and No. 10 by ESPN HoopGurlz. It marks the highest-ranking class for the Wildcats since 2006.

Randall Cobb is questionable at best for the showdown with the
Bulldogs because of a bruised shoulder. Cobb did not finish
practice on Wednesday and there's a chance even if Cobb does play

Hartline to undergo surgery

miss the rest of the regular season to receive surgery on his
injured knee, coach Rich Brooks said Sunday.
The junior quarterback was featured in the Wildcats 24-13 win
over Vanderbilt on Saturday, throwing 2-of-6 for 10 yards and an
interception. Brooks said the pace of the game agitated a knee
injury Hartline picked up five weeks ago enough to warrant
