In response to Memphis receiving a letter from the NCAA...

STATEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY First and foremost, there are no NCAA allegations against UK Head Men's Basketball Coach John Calipari. Coach Calipari was forthcoming with the University of Kentucky during the hiring process about any issues under investigation at the University of Memphis at that time.

It is normal procedure for the NCAA to ask a former coach to participate in a hearing. Therefore, Coach Calipari will participate as requested.

Coach John Calipari has received a letter from the NCAA stating that he is not at risk of being charged with any NCAA violations in this case.

This is a University of Memphis issue and the University of Kentucky will not comment any further.

UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH JOHN CALIPARI "Even though I'm not at risk, I will fully cooperate with the NCAA hearing. Beyond that, I concur with the statement from the University of Kentucky and will have no further comment."

This is the second school Calipari has violated the NCAA rules. Calipari should be accountable for the violations at Memphis. He was the coach and it makes you wonder if UK will be his third school. If this is the way he recruits by breaking the rules, UK can have him for U of L still has the best coach.

Similar circumstances happened in Bloomington, IN with Samford's shenanigans. There were rumors at first and then the rumors became a reality. Players leaving, recruits getting in trouble with the law, and the Athletic Deptartment getting sued. Sounds a lot like IU in the past couple of years. The only difference is that at this pace the time it will take for the bottom to drop out at UK will be much quicker.

I am a die hard UK fan from Alabama. I just pray that UK will continue to run a clean program. UK is a dynasty and doesn't need to cheat to recruit and win games. GO Coach Cal, Go Big Blue!!!!!!!!
