A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
A very active weather pattern continues to take shape over the next few days. Showers will increase Tuesday evening across much of the region as a warm front swings in from the southwest.
This front will give us a better shot at showers and thunderstorms later into Wednesday. Temps will warm into the upper 60s to near 70 for some.
A strong cold front moves in on Halloween and will bring nasty weather our way.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the day…
- Widespread rain and thunderstorms will work eastward through the day into Thursday night.
- Heavy rainfall of 1″-2″ will be likely for much of the state.
- There is a tremendous amount of wind energy available. Wind gusts approaching 40mph will be a good possibility.
- Can we get some strong or severe storms? The potential is there… especially across the western part of the state.
Cooler air moves in for the weekend.
