A storm complex will affect our region again today. Expect scattered storms to pick up during the afternoon hours. Damaging winds, flooding and lightning are the main concerns as these storms roll through.
The heat and humidity is on today, with highs reaching the upper 80s across the Bluegrass. A slight chance for a few isolated showers and storms increases into the afternoon and early evening, but most of us will likely stay dry through the day.
Any rain makers that develop will be short lived, and very hit or miss. Where the cloud cover sticks around early in the day, showers and storms will be less likely to impact your Sunday plans.
A cold front is set to sweep through the state today, but as it lifts back across the region Monday more warm, humid air will settle into the Commonwealth, making for a muggy start to the week. There is another very slight chance for a few scattered showers Monday afternoon.
The stormy trend lasts through the week, with at least a slight chance every day. The best shot at a few rumbles of thunder will be Wednesday afternoon, with things clearing up just in time for next weekend.
