Another unseasonably cool day in store

An unseasonably cool day in store across the Commonwealth Saturday as temperatures hang around the mid 40s by noon. Highs will top out in the mid to lower 50s across the state, with a light westerly breeze staying between 5-10mph.

High pressure will build in through the day Saturday, keeping us sunny and dry. Saturday night, clear skies and calm wind will help temperatures crash to near freezing for a second night in a row. Another frost advisory is likely for parts of Kentucky.

A nice warming trend will set in on Sunday, with Spring-like highs returning. Most of us will see readings in the low to mid 60s, just a few degrees shy of the average for this time of year.

By Tuesday we’re back in the 70s, but another frontal system bringing cooler air looks to zero in on the Bluegrass state into Wednesday. Cooler air along with the chance for showers and a few thunderstorms will filter in behind that cold front, with the best chance for rain being Wednesday afternoon.
