On the last day of 2011, Wildcats fans are celebrating a happy blue year!
UK students decked out in their finest Kentucky gear...after being up all night to get their hands on eruption zone tickets.
"Being with all of this tradition, it's awesome...I didn't sleep last night," says UK student, Kent Shepard.
No matter where you were sitting for the game, whether you were down on the floor or high up in the stands, fans say there is no such thing as a bad seat inside of Rupp Arena, "If you're inside, them you've already won."
For fans, it doesn't get too much better than a win against Louisville. For cats fans, it was an experience that will last a lifetime,"We're inside of Rupp Arena for the UK, U of L game, and when he is 60 and I'm long gone...he'll be telling his grand kids that one time his dad took him to see the UK, U of L game," says UK fan, Shawn Dawley.
It was a full house inside of Rupp Arena. Medal of honor recipient, Dakota Meyer was the "Y" during the spelling out of Kentucky at the big game. Grammy award winner, Jay Z was also in attendance.
