It has already been a tough year for Mimi and Aaron Woodrum. "I lost my husband in April" explains Mimi Woodrum, "so this was just almost too much to handle."

On Friday morning their trailer caught on fire -- destroying everything in side, even taking the life of their cat and two hamsters. "Aside from personal posessions I'm honestly most upset about the animals" explains Woodrum's son, Aaron, "they were our life -- and the cat was my dads so that cat was a part of him. The only memory I had left that was living".

Thanks to the Red Cross the Woodrum's have a place to stay this holiday weekend but they must find somewhere to go by Monday. "The Red Cross has been more than amazing but we can only stay here till Monday-- then we're on our own" explains Woodrum. "I called my insurance but they said they were off for the holiday weekend and I'd have to call back on Tuesday -- I don't have anywhere to live, how is that not important?"

The Woodrum family says they are getting by on donated food and money. "This has been really one tough year for this family so any prayers anybody can send our way right about now we'll definitely ... definitely take".

If anyone would like to help the Woodrum family you can contact them at 859-433-5536.
