Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Snow was on the ground and ice was on everything from the trees to street signs, everything but the roads it seemed.
"It hasn't been too bad out there. It's wet and slick in spots but other than that it's alright," said one driver in Lexington.
"Right now the roads seem to be pretty good," described another, which was much to the surprise of these drivers.
With areas outside of Lexington seeing lots of snow and ice, it really appeared as if Lexington was spared. However, don't get too comfortable, as the wet roads and plunging temperatures could make for potentially dangerous conditions overnight and into the weekend.
"Yeah it does make me nervous, I'll be out driving a milk truck in the morning. But I'm kind of wondering what it's going to be like when I get up at 3:30 in the morning, what the conditions will be like then. It could be a lot different," answered a driver.
Lexington police report since 3 Friday afternoon, there have been 19 non-injury crashes and four with an injury, but they say they didn't appear too serious.
