With The National Retail Federation predicting holiday sales to rise to 3.8% up from its earlier estimate of only 2.8 it seems as though many people are taking advantage of those deep discounts. "I came out tonight to take advantage of the last minute deals" explains Terri Lippert. "I'm a school teacher so I do this every year -- it works better this way for me."

The parking lot of stores throughout Lexington were packed as shoppers went in to get their last minute deals. "I'm finding a lot of good stuff -- even better than last year" explains Ian McCabe.

Stores are extending their hours for shoppers until Christmas Eve. A lot of different stores are also offering deep discounts to get people in their stores for last minute deals.
