Good Saturday morning! It’s a wild weekend ahead with a chance for a few severe storms later tonight.
A round of showers and storms is working northeast this morning into central Kentucky, just in time for the second busiest shopping day of the year! Rounds of rain and thunder will continue for much of the day, with temperatures warming well into the 60s.
The wind will also be howling this afternoon out of the south, gusting up to 40mph at times, bringing us more mild and moist air from our neighbors to the south.
Tonight another round of storms arrives into central Kentucky just before Midnight. This round could bring a few strong to severe thunderstorms to the area. The main threats will be damaging wind, heavy rain and possibly an isolated tornado.
Storms clear out for the most part on Sunday, with highs once again reaching the 60s before a big temperature swing to kick off the week. Highs Monday will be near freezing, with a slight chance at a few flurries.
