HAZARD, Ky. (WKYT) - Widespread damage was reported throughout Eastern Kentucky including parts of Perry County.
A large tree fell on a home on Baker Avenue near downtown Hazard around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday and knocked out power on the entire street.
Power crews made sure there was no electricity running through the downed lines so that fire officials could cut through the tree with a chainsaw and clear it.
People who live nearby say the tree was more than 100 years old.
Two people were inside the home when the tree fell on top of it, but no one was injured.
