Desktop Alert Application Operation

To Minimize the window, just click on the "X" in the upper right corner. The current temperature will be displayed in your Windows task bar. To Maximize the window again, double-click on the "DA" icon or the current temperature display.

During severe weather watches and warnings, you will receive a text crawl directly on your computer much like those you are familiar with seeing on television. The crawl is preceded by an audible alert sound, to bring attention to your computer.

All you need is an Internet connection. No web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, is required to receive the benefits of the WKYT/WYMT Desktop Alert .
