Big weather changes are working into central and eastern Kentucky over the next few days. This means a much colder pattern is about to take shape.
The chilly air will be ushered in by a strong cold front that swings in here early Wednesday. Showers will increase and some rumbles of thunder will be possible. Winds will gust up as the front moves in.
Temps will hit the upper 60s in the east with low 60s in central Kentucky. Many areas will then drop into the 50s as the front passes.
Another quick hitting shower system will move in on Thursday. The action will be scattered with temps in the upper 50s for highs. We could see some patchy frost as early as Friday morning.
Several more shots of cold weather will move in this weekend into next week.
