A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
October is off and running on a very mild not across central and eastern Kentucky. This mild air is going to stick around for a while, and may be joined by a few showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday will see temps back into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Skies will be partly sunny with a small chance for a shower or storm popping up.
Thursday will feature an increased risk for a few storms. That will keep temps down a bit with mid and upper 70s for highs.
The weather looks great for the opening of the fall meet at Keeneland on Friday. Temps will warm into the upper 70s to near 80 with a gusty southwesterly wind.
