Breathitt County man will spend 4 months in federal prison

JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - A man who pleaded guilty in a Breathitt County vote buying scheme will spend four months in federal prison followed by four months of home detention.

Darrell Raleigh admitted that former Breathitt County Schools Superintendent Arch Turner asked him to run for office in the May 2010 primary.

He said in a court document that he got several thousand dollars and used it to buy votes.

Arch Turner also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next month.
