Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies say they have busted an elaborate drug trade that is all documented in a suspect's diary!
One woman was arrested and investigators say a man believed to be involved is still on the run.
Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies say 40 year old Connie Meek traded drugs for cash and even haircuts, and claims it is all documented in her diary they confiscated.
She has nearly 20 charges.
Now they are searching for her alleged accomplice, 65 year old Frank Childers.
Officials say they were investigating an anonymous tip of marijuana growing at Frank Childer's house on Lively Lane in Thelma.
Deputies found marijuana plants about five to eight feet tall. Officers say that led to a warrant which led them to find a bigger surprise, an alleged diary belonging to Childer's girlfriend, Connie Meek. Deputies say the diary documented drug sales.
“Going through that diary, she has annotated in the diary various people she has sold controlled substances to, Loratabs, Xanax, and Soma, and the prices she charged. These were very good records, the money, the amount, the dates,” Sgt. Matt Ferguson said.
Investigators say they could not show us the diary because it is evidence, but claim it shows Meeks and Childers had an alleged business dealing drugs for the last year and a half.
They say a KASPER check shows Meek was doctor shopping with five different doctors and then allegedly exchanging the pills to dozens of people for cash or services.
Meek is in jail charged with 15 counts of drug trafficking and marijuana charges. Deputies are searching for Childers and say the investigation will take weeks.
Investigators say if you see Childers or have any information on where he is, to call the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
