Proceeds from Pike County Bowl go to good cause

It's more than just a fun Friday night at a football game, you can actually help out the schools.

Ticket sales from The Pike County Bowl will be split among six schools and be used to benefit their athletic programs.

The first Pike County Bowl was played in 1985 and started off with just Pikeville and Belfry.

In recent years the Bowl has expanded to all teams in Pike County elevating fan interest and the teams

Community Trust bank is the game's sponsor. Officials say this is a great way to start the season.
