Police Searching For Missing Eastern Kentucky Man

Police are searching for an Eastern Kentucky man who walked away from an assisted living facility in Knott County.

State police say 70 year old Roger Holbrook walked out of the Golden Years Rest Home in Lackey around 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and hasn't been seen since. Police say officials at the home reported Holbrook missing about 8:30 Tuesday night.

Police are looking for Holbrook in the surrounding area and several nearby towns and say this isn't the first time it's happened.

"He has walked away a couple of times before, so I'm not sure if there was any underlying issues, but nothing to indicate why he would have left at this time," said Jody Sims with the Kentucky State Police.

Roger Holbrook is about 6 feet tall, 125 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He has a heart tattoo on his right shoulder.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call police.
