Posted: Fri 4:56 PM, Sep 03, 2010

A man, accused of torturing and killing a puppy in front of a group of children, is released from jail.

The Commonwealth Journal reports Larry Benjamin Caudill of Pulaski County was released this week after posting a ten-thousand dollar bond.

He's facing felony animal torture charges.

Investigators say Caudill cut a six month old Jack Russell puppy's tail with a knife and then beat the dog.

It later died.

Caudill was placed under home incarceration and remains under electronic monitoring.
