FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Governor Fletcher has fallen behind in
fundraising heading into the November sixth election.
The first-term Republican reported raising three-point-four
million dollars since the May primary, nearly two million dollars
less than Democratic challenger Steve Beshear.
In a fundraising report filed with the Kentucky Registry of
Election Finance today, Fletcher reported spending two-point-two
million dollars between May 23rd and October fifth, primarily on
television advertising. The report shows he still has one-point-two
million dollars on hand.
Beshear spokeswoman Vicki Glass says Beshear will file a report
tomorrow showing that he has raised five-point-three million
dollars for the general election. She says the report will show
that he still has nearly one-point-seven million dollars on hand.
