They came walking in one by one, through the elevator and down the hall.

In all, 18 people were targeted in Thursday's drug round-up by the Pike County Sheriff's Department.

"There's just so many people out there doing it. There's hundreds doing the prescription drug deal," said Melvin Sayers, Chief Deputy for the Pike County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies took ten people into custody Thursday morning. They are still looking for five others. Three people on their wanted list were already in jail.

Lee Slone and Carl Pugh are already in Pike County Jail on previous drug charges, and Felicia Pennington is being held in West Virginia, also on drug charges.

Pike County Deputies said they are glad to get these drugs off the streets, but they know it is just a small part of a big problem.

"There's not enough police officers in the state of Kentucky to kill this problem," said Sayers.
