Gators Tied Atop Crowded SEC East

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The Florida Gators are in a familiar spot
after this weekends win over the University of Kentucky - atop the
Southeastern Conference's East Division.

At 5-2, Florida vaulted to Number 9 in this week's college
football poll, despite back-to-back losses earlier this month to
Auburn and Louisiana State University. Florida beat Kentucky 45-37
on Saturday.

Kentucky will now have to find a way to bounce back after a
draining stretch against the S-E-C elite.

The Wildcats - who fell to Number 14 - host Mississippi State on
Saturday before closing against Georgia, Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
The chance at a berth in the conference title game is still there
if they can regain the momentum that carried them into the top 10
for the first time in 30 years.
