Former Harlan County Special Deputy Pleads Not Guilty To Murder

A former Harlan County special deputy pleads not guilty to murder.

Scott Moore was arraigned Wednesday in Harlan Circuit Court.

A grand jury indicted Moore earlier this month in connection with the shooting death of 22 year old Leslie Cox.

Cox died about a month after Moore's gun went off and shot him in the head during a struggle at Highsplint Lake where police say Moore was trying to break up a crowd.

Moore's due back in court in December.
