SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va. (AP) - International Coal Group says
production shortfalls and rising costs at several mining complexes
offset strong performances at operations in eastern Kentucky and
other operations during the third quarter.
The West Virginia Company says it lost nearly two million
dollars in the third quarter.
That amounts to one cent per share for the three months that
ended September 30th. ICG lost two-point-four million dollars, or
two cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenue declined
more than eight percent as coal sales declined ten percent from the
same period of 2006.
