Rain Not Enough To Ease Water Restrictions

Four straight days of rain didn't add up to very much in Clay County.

The U.S. Geological Survey ranks Goose Creek as the lowest flowing water source in the state. Water Chief Operator Roy Gray says the creek did rise four feet, but that's not enough to lift restrictions.

"Residents can only use water outside on Saturday and car washes are only open two days a week," he said.

Gray says people in Clay County have helped the most by conserving their water.
