FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Board of Education has
narrowed the list of candidates to the state's top education job
down to four finalists.
The finalists for education commissioner will be interviewed by
the board next month.
The finalists are state Representative Jon Draud of Edgewood;
Owensboro Independent Schools Superintendent Larry Vick; retired
Hardin County Schools Superintendent Richard Hughes; and Jim
Warford, former chancellor of the Florida Department of Education.
A fifth finalist may also be interviewed, but the board is
waiting to see if the candidate still interested in the position.
