It all started when a parent thought they saw a gun in a student's vehicle.
Word spread quickly as several parents showed up to Perry County Central High School to find out if there was a weapon.
When they arrived the school was on lockdown.
State Police, Hazard Police, and Perry County Sheriff's deputies were all at the school to search for a possible gun.
Officials say after a thorough search of the grounds they did not find a weapon.

"What we found was a steering wheel club, that locks the steering wheel," says Perry County Central Principal Estill Neace. "That parent had seen it and thought it was a barrel of a gun."
Principal Neace says he encourages everyone to call authorities just as the parent did this morning just to be on the safe side.
We'll have more on Mountain News This Morning about how many parents and school officials say today's lock-down, while a scary situation, was best drill possible.
