Tennessee Pulls Ahead of Kentucky in First Day of Orange and Blue Blood Drive

Tennessee is beating Kentucky so far in this year's Orange and Blue Blood Drive.

The annual drive pits the University of Tennessee against the University of Kentucky ahead of their big match up.

As of Monday, Tennessee has 538 pints of blood donated, while Kentucky has 461.

This year is a tie-breaker, because over the past 19 years, each university is tied at 9 wins each with one tie.

The blood drive competition continues through Friday.

All donors receive a limited edition t-shirt and a coupon for a free pint of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream.

All blood donors must be 17 years-old and weigh 110 pounds or more.
