Grant Money Gives Some Eastern Kentuckians New Homes

Some eastern Kentucky families could be moving into new homes thanks to the Kentucky Housing Corporation.

The Hazard-Perry County Housing Development Alliance and LKLP Community Action Council both received grant money to produce affordable housing for qualified low-income families in eastern Kentucky.

Scott McReynolds says they plan to build five new homes with the new funds.

“It’s really a win-win situation. It’s good for the community as a whole, and it’s really good for the individuals who are to purchase the homes,” says Scott Reynolds of the Hazard-Perry County HDA.

The Kentucky Housing Corporation split nearly three hundred thousand dollars in grant money between both organizations.
