Harlan County Burning Ban Lifted

With one month to go in the fall forest fire season, one Eastern Kentucky county is lifting their burning ban thanks to the recent rain.

The order banning all outside burning in Harlan County was lifted Thursday. Outdoor burning is allowed between six in the evening and six in the morning.

The fall forest fire season runs through December 15th.
