Shuttle Service Struggling

A Pike County shuttle service is struggling after it re-opened last month. The service, run by Sandy Valley Transportation Services shut down in August due to lack of funding, but after 125 residents signed a petition, it re-opened in early October. SVTS Director Joyce Hinkle says ridership is lower than expected, with less than ten people riding the shuttle per day. The service costs just 50-cents and is for all non-medical transportation.
