More than a hundred people came to an Eastern Kentucky training site to honor a life-long soldier.
Many say Command Sergeant Major Harold L. Disney is a pioneer who developed the Eastern Kentucky training site in Knox County and the Wendell H. Ford regional training center. For his contributions...the Army National Guard is renaming the Eastern Kentucky training site after him.
"Over the years I have built buildings for troops," says Disney. "Training and hatchery for the troops repellent tires...obstacles courses and mountain sides...those type things"
Disney says he plans to retire from military life in December to spend more time with his family.
