For four days, search crews never gave up hope, looking for a man lost in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Last night, they found 25-year-old Ryan Larke about a half mile from where he had been camping with friends.

Larke told 27 NEWSFIRST Thursday morning he's doing okay now, but he isn't up for talking about his experience just yet.

He's now recovering at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, where at last check, he was listed in fair condition.

Larke spent four nights lost in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Laurel County.

He was found wearing just a t-shirt, blue jeans, and one shoe.

Rescuers started searching for Larke Saturday night after the friends he was camping with said he wandered off from the camp site.

On Wednesday, a search team from Scott County brought in two search and rescue dogs.

One of those dogs, a German Shepherd, found Larke near the edge of a cliff.

Larke's family says they are incredibly grateful to those men and women who spent the last several days searching for him.
