The future of a troubled Pulaski County home for mentally challenged adults could depend on a surprise review.
Federal Medicaid inspectors showed up unannounced at Bluegrass Oakwood Monday and have been at the facility all week. The review will help decide if Oakwood can keep Medicaid funding which the government threatened to cut off.
Oakwood has been at the center of several patient abuse and neglect allegations. It's the state largest facility for the mentally challenged.
