Abuse Suspect Facing Additional Charges

New accusations against a man charged in a Perry County abuse case.

Court officials say Billy Crawford now has an additional assault charge because of fighting in jail. Crawford is in the Kentucky River Regional Jail along with Penny Ford, Charlotte Crawford and Billy Williams. They were all originally charged with unlawful imprisonment and criminal abuse for allegedly holding Donna Hicks against her will for several months.

During a jailhouse interview, Crawford denied any wrongdoing.

"I played no role in this. I think the people that done this should come forward and admit to it," he said.

Billy Crawford's bond was increased to $120,000 dollars. The other three have a $100,000 dollar cash bond.

All four will be in court January 22nd.
