It was a good night for incumbents in the races for state representative tonight across the mountains.
In the 97th District, Hubert Collins was running for his 11th term.
Former Paintsville High School Basketball Coach Bill Mike Runyon was his challenger.
Collins beat Runyon by more than two thousand votes.

Collins says he wants to continue to help the people, says that's what is important about being in Frankfort.
If he can help someone, then being that makes it worthwhile being in Frankfort.
Water line projects, roads, and helping veterans are among many things he hopes to continue working on in the house.
Next session will be tough dealing with budget, but Collins thinks he can help iron everything out.
