Judge denies temporary injunction against Marathon Oil

A judge has made a ruling in a lawsuit about the price of gas.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Franklin Circuit Judge rejected a request from the attorney general, that would have forced Marathon Oil to return prices to what they were a month ago.

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway asked for the injunction, because he says Marathon hiked prices, despite a state of emergency declaration from the governor.

Conway is still suing Marathon, which supplies gas to most stations in Kentucky.

Wednesday's ruling does not impact that.

Governor Beshear's emergency declaration was due to run out tomorrow, but he's now extended it 30 days.
