Couple Accused Of Attacking, Choking Police Officers Face Charges

A southern Kentucky couple now faces felony charges accused of attacking two police officers.

Officers went to a home on Hail Knob Road in Somerset to investigate a domestic disturbance.

When they arrested the woman involved, her brother-in-law reportedly knocked an officer to the ground and began choking him in a headlock. When a second officer came to help, the woman allegedly used her handcuffs to hit him.

The officers were eventually able to arrest Jerry and Michelle Couch.

He's charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Police charged Michelle Couch with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault on a police officer.
