Police now believe the same man is behind a robbery at a Richmond bank this week, and a robbery at a West Virginia bank earlier this month.
Richmond Police say the man held up the U.S. Bank on East Main Street at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
At the time of the robbery, police say the man was wearing a green shirt, khaki pants, and a black hat with a logo on the front. He was armed with a silver and black handgun.
Police now say the same man robbed a Huntington National Bank in Weston, West Virginia on August 6. Police say the suspect in that robbery is similar in appearance to the Richmond robber.
Police also say the suspect in both robberies was wearing the same hat, and appeared to use the same gun.
Police describe the suspect as a man in his 30s or 40s, with sandy hair, slight facial hair, and approximately 5'7" to 6'0" tall, with a medium build.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Richmond Police at 859-623-1162.
