City of Corbin Could Undergo Facelift

One Southeastern Kentucky city could be getting a facelift.

Corbin officials are asking businesses to apply for grants that would pay for renovations to the outside of the city's downtown buildings. The congressional funds are designed to promote tourism. Several businesses are jumping on board.

"I think it's a great idea, a team effort. I think it's gonna take some time but Corbin needs it. We need a facelift real bad," said Dixie Café Owner Marsha Trosper.

Businesses are meeting with Corbin city officials next Wednesday at noon and grants could be issued in the spring.
