Midnight shooting claims one man's life

A shooting at midnight in Perry County ended in one man's death.

It all happened Saturday night in the Combs community on Baker Street.

31-year-old Samuel Louive was shot several times on his porch when he walked out the front door.

Louive was pronounced dead at the scene by the Perry County Coroner's office.

The man who shot him was close by when police arrived on the scene.

"It was determined that the perpetrator on the shooting was a Timothy Ryan Sizemore age 27 of Hazard," said KSP Trooper Oman Wesley Sandlin.

Sizemore was charged with murder and first degree wanton endangerment.

He is currently lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard.
