Celebration of life set for Gatewood Galbraith

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A daughter of the late Gatewood Galbraith, who ran his fifth gubernatorial campaign last year, says a public celebration of his life is being held next week in Lexington.

Molly Galbraith said the event will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST Thursday at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning. She said the event is open to anyone who wants to pay their respects to Galbraith.

The 64-year-old lawyer and politician known for his positions on limited government and legalizing marijuana died Wednesday at his home in Lexington of complications from chronic emphysema.
