Nearly 200 women from all over Eastern Kentucky gathered to learn how they can be more successful in business.
The 9th Annual Business Women's Symposium was held Tuesday at the Jenny Wiley State Park. The Morehead State Small Business Development Center organized the event to help business women network, discuss strategy to help them improve in their careers, and help them balance work and family life.
"We're hoping that the women here leave here feeling that they can overcome obstacles and contribute to their communities through jobs and income." says MSU Business Center Director Mike Morley.
Former WYMT anchor Chas Gayheart was the event's emcee. Other speakers were women who overcame obstacles to be business leaders today.
