While one man has been discharged, his brother remains in the hospital after a Sunday morning shooting.

It happened in the North Corbin area of Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Department responded to a double shooting in North Corbin just before noon Sunday. When they arrived on Terrell Street, they found Glen Ray Taylor had shot his half brother, David Hollingsworth, in the leg then turned the gun on himself. The sheriff's office and Kentucky State Police are investigating the case, but at this point have no motive for the crime.

"The shooter has been transported to Lexington and the victim is in the process of being transported out to Lexington," said Laurel County Sheriff Fred Yaden.

Both Taylor and Hollingsworth were both taken to the UK Medical Center.

Hospital officials say Hollingsworth was discharged Sunday evening, while Taylor remains in the ICU unit in critical condition. Police have not filed any charges at this time.
